Business Development and Innovation Manager

VECTOR Labs was established in 2018. We are an international company with representative offices in Bulgaria and UK. Our customers are from various industry sectors such as pharma, healthcare, manufacturing, banking and insurance, as well as publishing. The client base is spread in more than 10 countries across the globe. We are specialized in design and development of complex, custom, AI-driven solutions. At the moment we are experiencing a high demand for our services and we are seeking to recruit a Business Development and Innovation Manager to join our dynamic team in Sofia.

Our mission

At VECTOR Labs we have a clear mission to become the most trusted and preferred partner in south east Europe of enterprise clients when it comes to AI-related advisory, design and development of complex solutions. Your role is crucial to the success of our mission. As a Business Development and Innovation Manager you will have to conduct research and identify the latest innovative initiatives of the pharma/manufacturing industry. You have to spot the challenges and opportunities they try to address with AI (both traditional, as well as generative) in order to elaborate and offer efficient solutions to these.

Your role

As part of the job you will have to:

  • Understand the enabling technologies applied to the identified challenges and opportunities;
  • Suggest AI-driven solution designs in collaboration with our senior AI engineers;
  • Turn the market trends and customer needs into innovations and business opportunities;
  • Launch campaigns (write Point of Views, thought leadership articles, etc.) and initiatives to successfully position our company on the international market;
  • Identify innovation fundings opportunities (EU, UK – innovation programmes and financing) and acquire publicly funded research projects and supervise their execution.


Outcomes

As a result of your work following outcomes should be achieved:

  • Identification of 3 poorly (or with potential for a more efficient solution) addressed challenges/opportunities in the pharma/manufacturing industry (for each industry 3) by the end of the second month;
  • Leading and responsible for the creation of a service offering or proof of concept for two of the challenges by the end of month 3;
  • Opening a new revenue stream based on the newly identified service offerings by end of month 6;
  • Reaching a minimum of 100k revenue at the of month 9.


Competencies

The successful candidate will identify, shape and execute strategic innovation projects and report the results directly to the leadership team. In close cooperation with our leadership team, you will design and implement a clear commercial growth strategy by identifying new customers’ requirements and the offerings which we can satisfy. Your work should result in an international increased sales volume.
You are experienced and you enjoy working in a dynamic and inclusive environment. Your proven success in turning business opportunities into sustainable growth will be required to discuss business development tasks on the management level. Identifying short- and long-term chances with a clear focus and understanding of the customer needs is your passion.
