Highlights from the CRIF Conference: Advancing Financial Solutions and Digitalization
We had the privilege of attending the fourteenth Credit Management Conference, organised by ICAP CRIF, a leading financial information provider and technological solutions for the financial sector. The event brought together industry experts and thought leaders from various backgrounds to explore the latest trends and challenges in finance.
The conference kicked off with an insightful macroeconomic analysis presented by Professor Daniela Bobeva from the Institute of Economic Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She delved into the impact of inflation on purchasing power, providing valuable insights into both the local and European economic landscapes.
Throughout the event, three engaging panel discussions took place, covering a range of topics including data analysis, risk management, collaboration between companies and banks for development, innovation, and the digitalization of the financial sector. These discussions fostered a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by the industry.

Georgi Nalbantov, in his thought-provoking session, delved into the methodological frontiers of credit risk management, highlighting the advancements, such as LLM (Limited Liability Model), that are reshaping the industry. He also shed light on the risks that emerge from the adoption of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence solutions, emphasising the importance of robust risk-handling strategies.
